The Reveals
First up we've got The Reveals, four mates from Brighton who are determined to reach the big time. Based on evidence seen so far, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t expect to see them making an assault on the charts soon.
Lead singer Ben Bodoano sums up their mission nicely, “We just wanna get our music out to as many people as possible, to play as many gigs as possible, whilst writing as many songs as possible.”
With this in mind The Reveals choose to write honest songs about life as they know it, set against an electrifying backdrop. Following in the footsteps of bands like The Who, Oasis and The Jam, The Reveals’ soundscape has that distinct English quality thanks to Bodoano’s raw, unique vocals. Mike Wilton (lead guitar), Robin O’Keefe (drums) and James Livett (bass) complete the line up.
You may have caught the boys at Guilfest this summer, or at any number of venues on the live circuit, such is the weight of their touring schedule. Their desire to put on a storming set at every gig certainly pays off, “It’s all about doing it live”, explains lead guitarist Mike Wilton, “We love writing songs and making music, but we don’t wanna just play it to ourselves, sitting around all day stroking each other’s egos.”

Airplay on numerous stations, including XFM, and live sets for the BBC has further enhanced The Reveals reputation and their growing fan base shows no signs of waning. The South Coast is expecting big things of The Reveals this year and we can all hope that they remember us once they’ve reached Rock God status.
We’re immensely proud to be associated with The Reveals and we look forward to supporting them all the way to the top. Get Musical would like to say a big thanks to the guys for appearing on our site and we urge everyone who visits Get Musical to check out their demos on their Myspace page (myspace.com/therevealsband). The Btex
The Btex are a group of five Sussex based friends that all share a love for jazz and blues. They play play a vast range of music ranging from Ray Charles, to the more modern The Cat Empire.
It’s still early days for the group but some excellent local sets have resulted in a fast growing, loyal fanbase. Currently the band is recording a demo CD to showcase their talents.
We highly recommend you check out the tracks on their Myspace page (myspace/thebtexkrew).
